    The Boonton Historical Society, a founding member of the Pathways tour, joins the multi-day tour on both May 6th and 7th. Visit the Pathways website for complete details of the 27 historic sites at https://pathwaysofhistorynj.net/. The Boonton Historical Society and Museum at 210 Main Street is an ideal place to start the tour. Built in 1898 by local Doctor John Taylor, the building previously served as the doctor’s home and offices and Boonton Town Hall, and is American Legion Post 124. With three exhibit rooms and two well-stocked gift shops, the Museum welcomes you to our new exhibit "Say YES to the Dress" featuring clothing and accessories from our collections. Experience a glimpse of the past told through the wedding dresses, gowns, petticoats, and unmentionables of a bygone era. Free parking is available behind the museum. $2 off ALL publications in both Gift Shops. 50% off ALL flower pots, vases, or any item with a flower in our Gift Shop Annex.

    The Pathways of History : Miller-Kingsland House The Boonton Historical Society, a founding member of the Pathways tour, joins the multi-day tour on both May 6th and 7th. Visit the Pathways website for complete details of the 27 historic sites at https://pathwaysofhistorynj.net/. The 1740 Miller-Kingsland House at 445 Vreeland Avenue is Boonton’s oldest recorded home, and will exhibit Boonton-born Artist Lucille Hobbie (1915-2008), a painter of local historical and endangered properties who is best known for her historic Morris County Series, and is published in Who’s Who In American Art. Ladies from the Lost Art Lace Makers of New Jersey will demonstrate their art and display samples of their work. Live music by Jackie Hecht. Costumed docents will discuss the Kingsland family and the history of the home.
