Our mission is to enrich the quality of life for Town of Boonton residents  by creating strong partnerships within the community and providing a  variety of recreational activities, programs, and special events which  promote lifelong learning, fitness, and fun.


Boonton Parks and Recreation sponsors a variety of regular programs and special events throughout the year. The Recreation Department is always interested in new ideas and feedback from the community. Here is a peek at what Pepe Field playground will look like when complete:

The Department of Public Works (DPW) will be prepping the site now that the weather is getting warmer.  Playground equipment is in the manufacturing phase and once all materials are received, the installation will begin.  This site will be updated as more information becomes available. Registration & Payment Instructions

Registration for most programs can be done at  If you have any questions or wish to register in person, please contact Recreation Director, Tracy Pryer at (973) 402-9410 ext. 642 or  Payments may also be dropped off in the after-hours payment box in front of Town Hall.

For programs (such as sports) which require individuals to be in close proximity, you must sign and return our COVID-19 Release Form.

Facility & Park Rental

The recreation center is available for use by Town of Boonton non-profit groups as well as local civic organizations and town of Boonton residents. For information on how to apply for use of the recreation center, view the Recreational Facilities Use Policy & Application.
