Materials Accepted
CansAluminum Containers (Recycling)  Rinse, commingle with container mix.
Brown BagsBrown Paper Bags (Recycling)  Fold and place in a brown paper bag or in reusable container. Do Not place in plastic bag.
Paper BoardChipboard/Paperboard (Recycling)  Commingle with other paper in reusable container or brown paper bag. Flatten all boxes.
CardboardCorrugated Cardboard (Recycling)  Flatten and tie.
GlassGlass Containers (Recycling)  Remove lids, rinse and commingle with container mix. Metal lids may be placed in container separately.
PaperMixed Office Paper (Recycling)  Commingle with other paper in reusable container or brown paper bag.
News PaperNewspaper (Recycling)  Bundle and tie. Keep separate from other paper. Do Not place in plastic bag.
Junk MailOther Paper/Mag./JunkMail (Recycling)  Commingle with other paper in reusable container or brown paper bag.
Plastic 1Plastic Bottles #1 (PETE) (Recycling)  Discard lids, rinse, flatten and commingle with container mix. Only include bottles with necks smaller than the base. Do not recycle tubs.
Plastic 2Plastic Bottles #2 (HDPE) (Recycling)  Discard lids, rinse, flatten and commingle with container mix. Only include bottles with necks smaller than the base. Do not recycle tubs.
SteelSteel Containers (Recycling)  Rinse and commingle with container mix. Aerosol cans must be empty with plastic caps removed and discarded.
TiresTires (Recycling)  Accepted at recycling center.
AppliancesWhite Goods & Light Iron (Recycling)  Accepted at recycling center. To be picked up at curbside by DPW, a $10 sticker required. Sold at Town Hall.
